Windy Hill Farm is nestled on over 300 acres in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, and specializes in the training, showing, sales and breeding of American Saddlebreds, Morgans, and ponies. The farm is located 25 minutes from the Lynchburg airport, and 45 minutes from the Virginia Horse Center. The farm has been a working farm for over 200 years, and at one point was owned by Virginia Senator James W Davis. Visitors are treated to beautiful views of the Blue Ridge and surrounding countryside.
Our trainer, Karin F Smith, specializes in starting young horses. She starts with the horse's natural talent, adds excellent training, and the end result winds up in the winner's circle. Lesson programs for beginning to advanced riders, as well as day and overnight camps are available.
